Privacy

This notice explains the information TesterGround handles during the early-access service and the choices available to you.

Effective August 11, 2026

Information we handle

  • Account and profile information, including your sign-in email, username, avatar, country, language, time zone, and interest categories.
  • App and campaign information, including public listing details, private testing links, uploaded artwork, recruitment settings, and ownership records.
  • Testing activity, including participation steps, mutual exchanges, deadlines, private feedback, optional screenshots, ratings, and dispute records you submit.
  • Communication and device information, including consent history, notifications, browser push subscription details, support messages, and product feedback.
  • Limited technical information used for security and reliability, such as request IDs, timestamps, error codes, page visits, and performance measurements.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate accounts, operate the tester board, connect mutual tests, track participation, deliver notifications, protect the service, answer support requests, and understand basic reliability and usage. We send newsletters only when you opt in. We do not sell personal information or exchange points for positive reviews.

Who processes it

We use Google for optional sign-in, Supabase for authentication, database, and private storage, Vercel for hosting and basic analytics, and Brevo for service email and opted-in newsletters. If product-feedback delivery is enabled, Slack receives the message and optional email you enter in that form. These providers may process information where they operate, under their own service terms and privacy commitments.

Other members may see your community username, avatar, country, public app listings, and aggregate campaign activity. We do not make your sign-in email, private testing links, browser push endpoint, or private feedback public.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information while your account is active. Our current retention targets are: user media within 30 days after account deletion; testing screenshots for 90 days after campaign close; private feedback and app evaluations for 365 days after campaign close; raw analytics for 90 days; and security, audit, and resolved dispute records for 365 days. A live dispute may delay deletion of related evidence. Minimal consent and integrity records may be retained where needed to preserve an accurate history.

Your choices

In Settings, you can update your profile, turn browser push on or off, change newsletter consent, log out, or request account deletion. You may also ask to access or correct information, withdraw optional consent, or raise a privacy concern by emailing support@testerground.dev.

Cookies and local storage

We use session cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, protect requests, and remember interface state. We do not use this information to sell or target advertising.

Children, security, and changes

TesterGround is not intended for children under 13. We use access controls, private storage, encrypted campaign links, and limited logs, but no online service can promise absolute security. We may update this notice as the service changes and will revise the effective date or provide additional notice for a material change.
