How TesterGround works

Join an Android closed test first, then request a tracked return test after install.

TesterGround is a mutual testing community for indie Android developers. You help another developer move their closed test forward, then ask the community to do the same for your app.

  1. Browse testing requests as a compact list or image grid, then choose Join testing.
  2. Complete the Google Group, Play opt-in, and install steps. Daily app launches are not required.
  3. After install, request a return test linked to your own published recruitment post.
  4. For the first 12 seats, the app owner has 48 hours to install, with reminders at 24 and 3 hours remaining.
  5. If the first deadline is missed, you can send one reminder that adds a final 24-hour window. If that also expires, stay for the 14-day test or leave without penalty.
  6. After the 12-tester goal is reached, people can still participate, but return tests are voluntary.

The result is a clear exchange: real developers, traceable progress, and private feedback without buying installs from a testing farm.
